For out art lesson on Friday I asked Holly what was interesting to her for materials, I left it open ended...yet prepared to get messy if I had to. Typically I have a lesson prepared or an idea on my mind. Sometimes I like to let her have some say in her art or go with an urge to use certain materials without limitations. For her project on Friday she decided to use her shimmery watercolor paints. This is the exact project she had in mind too - where she free draws a very loopy page in black (oil pastel in this case) and then fills in all the various shapes. Simple and satisfying!
It turned out LOVELY!!!!
