Cat In The Hat

Monday we enjoyed a full afternoon of Cat In The Hat. First we learned about Dr. Seuss by reading a small biography on him, watched a Brain Pop video and discussed the various books we were familiar with and why she liked them. After that Holly dived into several Cat In The Hat activities.

We read the book, she did a kindergarten friendly book review of the story, she created a sequence of the story and then worked on words from the book. She created a fun whimsical hat for Cat In The Hat and then did a mosaic of a traditional hat for Cat In The Hat. We played a couple of silly games and she got to watch a couple PBS episodes of 'The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That: Wings and Things". A really fun day for sure!
