Holly is very interested in learning to sew. I am about to make a step with her later this Spring or early summer and let her on my machine... I think. But first I want her to build up some patience and do some hand work first. I have not started her off with anything major, but something very child friendly for now. To learn the basic technique of a needle and thread before we really branch out to a real needle and thread... which will be coming very soon. After she finished this little project I am going to move her onto an embroidery hoop project. She is really enjoying it and it keeps her little fingers very busy - this is a GREAT fine motor skill and test of patience.
